Design of non-metallic expansion joints for low temperature application
The technology of non-metallic expansion joints is permanently developing to meet the requirement of todays evolving industrial applications. According to the nature of the material they cover a wide range of installations in air-, exhaust- and environmental systems where low spring rates and highest flexibility are required.
The design and installation of key components for large plants requires expert co-operation between all participants (example: Hightemperature gas turbine with downstream fabric expansion joint to compensate for thermal expansion and settling due to particular geological conditions)
